Who is Dr. Ratio?
A candid and self-centered Intelligentsia Guild member, who often conceals his appearance with a strange plaster sculpture. He demonstrated unparalleled intelligence and talent since his youth, but now refers to himself as a "Mundanite." He firmly believes that intellect and creativity are not confined to geniuses. He seeks to distribute knowledge to the entire universe to cure the persistent disease named ignorance.
Dr. Ratio is the newest Limited 5-star Hunt Character about to join the game in the Second Phase of Version 1.6, where players will get him for FREE, while also being able to get more copies of him from his Limited Character Banner.
NOTE: This is all a pre-releases analysis, as such we will update this guide should new information come out!

Dr. Ratio’s Best Light Cones
Given that Hunt characters do not have one the best F2P options, Dr. Ratio is slightly limited in his choices when it comes to Light Cones. There are some that he can use to a good degree, however, it is no doubt that his best Light Cone is his signature. Below you can find a table with all viable Light Cones for Dr. Ratio:
Dr. Ratio Light Cones
Below you can see all of Dr. Ratio's Best Light Cones from premium to F2P:
Best in Slot:
Baptism of Pure Thought
- Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 20%. For every debuff on the enemy target, the wearer's CRIT DMG dealt against this target increases by 8%, stacking up to 3 times. When using Ultimate to attack the enemy target, the wearer receives the Disputation effect, which increases DMG dealt by 36% and enables their follow-up attacks to ignore 24% of the target's DEF. This effect lasts for 2 turns.
Alternative:
Swordplay
- For each time the wearer hits the same target, DMG dealt increases by 8%, stacking up to 5 time(s). This effect will be dispelled when the wearer changes targets.
-
Best option after Dr. Ratio's Signature. A solid boost in DMG given that he often attacks only the marked enemies. However, to get the most out of it you need to have more copies. This Light Cone shines if you have it at S3+
-
Best F2P:
Cruising in the Stellar Sea
- Increases the wearer's CRIT rate by 8%, and increases their CRIT rate against enemies with HP less than or equal to 50% by an extra 8%. When the wearer defeats an enemy, their ATK is increased by 20% for 2 turn(s).
-
Great F2P option, given that players can get it to max completely free from the Simulated Universe, nonetheless, the ATK increase activation is a bit limited, as well as the additional CRIT rate boost, but overall a solid choice.

Dr. Ratio’s Best Relics
As any DPS character Dr. Ratio is mainly going to focus on Crit Rate and Crit DMG rolls. However, given that he has a good amount of Crit Rate in his kit, and he has some great supports to go along with him, as well as some Relic sets that fit him great, he is in fact, no that hard to build:
Relics and Ornaments
Below are all the great choices that Dr. Ratio can use for his Relics and Ornaments:
Best Relic Set:
The Ashblazing Grand Duke
- 2-Piece: Increases the DMG dealt by follow-up attacks by 20%.
- 4-Piece: When the wearer uses follow-up attacks, increases the wearer's ATK by 6% for every time the follow-up attack deals DMG. This effect can stack up to 8 time(s) and lasts for 3 turn(s). This effect is removed the next time the wearer uses a follow-up attack.
-
The follow-up attack DMG provided by this set is insane for Dr. Ratio and gives him a lot of utility. And with the ammount of follow-up attacks he launches, he will stack it up quite fast
-
Alternatives:
Genius of Brilliant Stars
- 2-Piece: Increases Quantum DMG by 10%.
- 4-Piece: When the wearer deals DMG to the target enemy, ignores 10% DEF. If the target enemy has Quantum Weakness, the wearer additionally ignores 10% DEF.
Wastelander of Banditry Desert
- 2-Piece: Increases Imaginary DMG by 10%.
- 4-Piece: When attacking debuffed enemies, the wearer's CRIT Rate increases by 10%, and their CRIT DMG increases by 20% against Imprisoned enemies.
Planar Ornaments:
Best Planar Set:
Inert Salsotto
- 2-Piece: Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer's current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer's Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15%.
Alternatives:
Firmament Frontline Glamoth
- 2-Piece: Increases the wearer's ATK by 12%. When the wearer's SPD is equal to or higher than 135/160, the wearer deals 12%/18% more DMG.
Space Sealing Station
- 2-Piece: Increases the wearer's ATK by 12%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer's ATK increases by an extra 12%.
Main Stats:
CRIT DMG | SPEED | Imaginary DMG | ATK% |
Sub Stats:
SPD (until 134) > CRIT Rate/Crit DMG > Effect Hit Rate > ATK

Best Team:
Dr. Ratio | Silve Wolf | Welt | Luocha |
Alternative Team:
Dr. Ratio | Silve Wolf | Bronya | Luocha |

Is Dr. Ratio Worth Pulling For?
Given that Dr. Ratio will be given out for free to all players in the Second Phase of Version 1.6 there is no need for players to pull on his Limited Character Banner, unless they are aiming for his Eidolons. Given that most, if not all, players will have a copy of Dr. Ratio he is certainly going to be appearing in a lot of places. However, if you do want to make the most of him, then Silver Wolf is going to be his best companion.
Without her, you are still able to bring about a lot of his potential, but Silver Wolf just makes him go to a new level. As such you might want to think about pulling for Silver Wolf while you still can, so that you can boost your future free copy of Dr. Ratio!
