Mydei is a 5-star Imaginary unit from the Path of Destruction. He is a character that scales off of HP% and is overall a huge upgrade over Blade. As a unit, Mydei plays by stacking a ton of HP, preferably just over 8000, so that you can get the most out of his bonus ability [Bloodied Chiton]. By having Mydei at 8k+ HP, you guarantee that he gets 48% CRIT Rate for free, as well as a faster charge on his Talent, which happens to be the main driver behind his kit. So in short, you want to stack Mydei with as much HP as possible so that you can get the most out of him.
When it comes to his combat interactions, the thing with Mydei is that you don’t really get to play him. Once battle starts, Mydei starts building up stacks of [Charge]. Once you reach 100 Charge, Mydei enters what is known as the [Vendetta] state. Once he’s in this state, you can forget about playing Mydei because he literally begins playing himself. Whenever his turn comes around, he does one of two attacks depending on the number of charges he has stacked up, and the only action you have is pressing his ultimate whenever it’s up. That is mostly it. This makes Mydei quite easy to play and very viable for a ton of auto-battle comps, but it is also not fun at all, as you don’t really get to play the unit.
At the end of the day, Mydei is a really simple character. All you need to do is stack HP on him, and he plays himself. He is also an amazing upgrade over Blade, so if you’ve been feeling down due to Blade underperforming in the recent updates, then Mydei might just light the spark again!

As far as Light Cones are concerned, there is no dispute that Mydei’s best in slot is his signature light cone, the [Flame of Blood, Blaze My Path]. Having said that, there are also some decent F2P options that you can choose from for Mydei, so don’t worry!

When it comes to relics, you generally want to aim for 4 pieces of the [Scholar Lost in Erudition] set thanks to its CRIT Rate boost and damage increase on a unit’s Skill, which works great for Mydei considering almost all of his damage comes from his skill’s enhanced attacks. As for the planetary set, here you have two choices, which are the [Rutilant Arena] and the [Bone Collection’s Serene Demense]. Both are great options for Mydei, so it really just boils down to which set you have more of and if you have the right pieces.
