As Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 is coming to fruition and is close to its release, the developers behind the game have begun teasing us with what is to come in the not-so-distant Version 3.1. One of the pieces of information we receive about this upcoming version is the announcement of an upcoming 5-star character, Mydei. Does Mydei seem familiar? Well, you won’t be the first one to think this. If you’ve been a fan of anime for some time, you might just see a resemblance between Mydei and Gilgamesh from Fate. I know I certainly do. But that aside, let’s look a bit more into what Mydei has to offer.

The Last Prince: Mydeimos
Kremnos, swallowed by mist! City riven between chaos and war! The blood of patricide flows through its royal line, and its god bears the title of calamity.
The undying Mydeimos, the lion apart from the rest. O Chrysos Heir that seeks the Coreflame of Strife, you must suffer a thousand deaths, be bathed in blood on the path home, and bear the madness of fate alone, for one was must slay a god to become one. Iron-hooves pound across the wilderness for the campaign, and must eventually soak in the blood of their homeland.Affiliated City: Castrum Kremnos
Divine Authority: Lance of Fury, Nikador
Mydei is an upcoming 5-star Imaginary character following the Path of Destruction. He will be the second Imaginary Destruction character to join the Star Rail roster, with the only other alternative being Dan Heng - Imibitor Lunae. While the Imaginary element has been a popular one for support units, it is certainly interesting to see how it will fare coupled with the Path of Destruction. Imbibitor Lunae has certainly proven to be a powerful unit that is still being used to this day despite being released more than a year ago.

Appearance
From Mydei’s reveal, we can see that he uses the tall male model and wields a spear, or flag, as his weapon of choice. His whole character art is surrounded by images of war and blood, hinting at him being a perfect match for the Path of Destruction, which deals with characters taking their own HP to boost their skills. Mydei is certainly going to be an interesting addition to the Honkai: Star Rail roster and we can’t wait to learn more about him as Version 3.1 draws closer to release.
