Honkai Star Rail: New Planar Ornaments & New Simulated World Stage

During the Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.1 livestream it was announced that the new version will bring a new World to that Simulated Universe, World 9.

Alongside this world, players will also get two new Planar Ornament sets to use on their characters.

In this article, we'll look at these two new sets and what they have to offer.

Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation

The first Planar Ornament set that we will look at is [Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation].

This Planar Ornament set has the following effects:

• 2 Piece: Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 4%.
  • When enemies are defeated, the wearer's CRIT DMG increases by 4%, up to 10 stack(s).

From first looks this Planar Ornament set appears to be quite powerful. It not only increases the Crit Rate of characters but also greatly increases their Crit DMG with up to 40%.

However, to get the most out of this set will require killing a total of 10 enemies, which might prove difficult when facing just 1-2 Elite enemies.

This set will surely shine when going against waves of enemies, such as during the Pure Fiction mode, and will see use on many DPS characters.

Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm

The second Planar Ornament set that we'll look at is [Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm].

This set's effects are as follows:

• 2 Piece: Increases the wearer's ATK by 12%.
  • When entering battle, if at least one other ally follows the same Path as the wearer, then the wearer's CRIT Rate increases by 12%.

From the looks of it, this set gives two great bonuses - ATK% and Crit Rate%. These two stats are great and needed for almost all DPS characters and having more Crit Rate in the Planar Ornament helps when building character.

The drawback with this Planar set is that it requires that you have teammates of the same Path as the wearer of the set which might make it a bit situational to use rather than being quite versatile.

If it were to be of the same Element then it would have seen way more use, but that would have probably made it overpowered.

This set is a great piece of equipment and we can see some characters making great use of it.

Summary

All in all, the two new Planar Ornament sets that were introduced to the game seem great, and will surely allow for more leeway when building your main DPS characters that use Crit.

Although both sets are somewhat situational, they can still be used in any mode and will provide a good boost to your teams.

However, if you're not that desperate for them right now, we'd advise waiting until Version 2.3 before you start farming them, as during the live stream it was announced that Version 2.3 would bring a new and faster way to farm Planar Ornaments.
