Honkai Star Rail: Should you Pull for Acheron

Acheron is slowly getting closer to release, and it will be this time next week that she’ll be live and everyone will get to test her out.

However, as with any character, you must first get her in order to be able to play her. In this article, we’ll discuss if Acheron is worth your Stellar Jade and if you should consider investing in her for your account.

Is Acheron Good?

When deciding on whether to pull for a character or not players tend to look at a character visually, if it appeals to them or not, as well as look at the character’s power compared to other units of the same class.

In Acheron’s case, she will be the newest 5-star Electro Nihility character, which is already a role that is occupied by another 5-star Limited Character, namely Kafka. 

Despite this, and despite Acheron being a Nihility character, we can safely say that we don’t think she’ll be competing with Kafka for the Nihility Electro spot. She may compete for the Nihility mommy spot, that’s for sure, but overall use? That’s where things get a bit different.

Unlike Kafka, Acheron has a bit more freedom with her team building and doesn’t require as much of a dedicated team composition as Kafka and her DoT buddies. As long as you slap a debuffer for Acheron you’ll be good to go.

This makes Acheron way more appealing for new players, or those that have yet to get their hands on good DoT units such as Black Swan, which is essential for Kafka team nowadays.

Besides, Acheron’s Ultimate is the first Ultimate that does not require Energy to use but rather uses a stacking mechanic. This makes Acheron a one-of-a-kind character at this point in the game which is too certain to appeal to a wide audience.

Lastly, Acheron’s numbers are just nuts. As it stands right now and thanks to information from theory crafters, it can be said that Acheron will be one of the DPS units in the game.

As we all know, doing big damage is all that matters in Star Rail and as such having a great, and solid DPS unit that is able to dish out a ton of damage with minimal investment is what a ton of players are looking for. 

Well, right now it’s speculated that Acheron covers that, meaning that she’ll certainly draw the attention of a ton of players, looking to suck their Stellar Jades dry.

Is The Acheron Banner Good?

Yes, Acheron’s banner is quite value-friendly and a good choice for both new and veteran players.

Not only will it feature the powerhouse Acheron, but it will also have a rate-up for the new 4-star Abundance unit Gallagher, which is sure to draw the eyes of those looking to gather the male characters in the game.

Apart from those two, another good unit that will appeal to Acheron’s banner is Pela. Pela is a great 4-star debuffer that has a great DEF reduction debuff which is sure to pair great with Acheron’s kit.

The final character on the banner is Dan Heng, but there’s nothing much to mention about Dan Heng, and given that he’s been out of the meta for quite some time now he is mostly there for filler.

All in all, Acheron’s banner is pretty solid and is definitely worth investing in.

Should You Pull for Acheron?

We’ve finally gotten to this point. We believe that the answer to this question is yes. Yes, you should pull for Acheron.

Acheron will not only be a great Lightning DPS but is also expected to be one of the best DPS units in the game on part with Jing Liu and Dan Heng Imbibito Lunae.

Furthermore, having her incorporate a completely new mechanic in the game in the form of her Ultimate, and let’s not get started on that ridiculously overpower Talent that is a god sent for farming, she is definitely going to be worth investing your Stellar Jade into.
