Trailblazers the time is finally upon us, and with HSR Version 2.6 drawing closer and closer, the developers have finally shared information on a new character that will be coming out in Version 2.7. This character is one that we’re all familiar with, and if you’ve played through the story of Penacony, then he’s a character that you’re unlikely to forget. That is right, the newly revealed character to be coming to Honkai: Star Rail is none other than the former head of the Oak Family, Sunday.

Sunday was revealed to be an upcoming 5-star Imaginary character that follows the Path of Harmony. It has been almost half a year since Sunday first appeared in Version 2.0, making a grand entrance in Penacony’s story, and about two months players will, at last, get to pull for him in Version 2.7.
Ever since Sunday’s reveal, it has been speculated that we’d eventually get him as a playable character, and many fans speculated he would come out around the same time as Robin, but as we all know, that did not turn out to be the case. Sunday has been on the bench, waiting for a long time, but now that he’s finally on the horizon, you might just want to start saving your Stellar Jade!

What to Expect
Given that Sunday will be a character following the Path of Harmony, we can speculate that he will be a support character, providing some kind of utility to the team. From what we’ve seen ever since the release of Honkai: Star Rail, Harmony characters have been some of the most meta-defining characters, while also being the ones most prone to power creep. The most recent case of that is Robin, Sunday’s sister, who is still regarded as one of the best Harmony characters to be released and is viable in almost any team. And we also cannot forget Bronya, who, despite being one of the standard 5-star characters, is a staple in almost all teams that include a Main DPS unit.
Additionally, Sunday will be the first 5-star Harmony character to be added to the game, apart from the Harmony Trailblazer of course, which also sets the stage for him to be one hell of a powerful unit that might just be worth pulling for!
