We already know that the version after Version 1.6 will be Version 2.0, which is a huge step for Honkai: Star Rail, and is going to be its biggest update since the release of the game. Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 is set to launch right after Version 1.6 which is estimated to end on:

What to expect in Honkai Star Rail Version 2.0
HoYoverse does major Version updates once a year, and this will be the biggest and the first big Version update for Honkai: Star Rail since its release last April. What we can expect in this Version is:
- New Region
- Currently we have information that the new place the Trailblazers will be traveling to is Penacony.
- New Characters
- Currently we have three new characters revealed for Version 2.0, then being:
- New Story
- Players will finally get to explore the Penacony region of the game and will get to know many more new characters. We will finally be getting to know more about Himeko as well and maybe even explore more of the secret behind the Stellarons.
- New Gameplay Features
- As with any big version update that HoYoverse have done for Genshin Impact throughout the years, we can safely assume that we will be getting some new and interesting gameplay features that will have to do with the new region. Whether that are new puzzles, way more chests, a lot of free Stellar Jaades and so much more. We will keep you updates whenever we get more information about anything new coming out!

Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 is bound to be a huge update for the game and is sure to bring players a lot to look forward to such as an expansion to the Star Rail story, new regions, new features, new characters and many more.
