Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 [Paean of Era Nova] is fast approaching, and it will bring a whole mountain of new things for us to explore, try out, and enjoy. The new update is set to feature an entirely new planet, new enemies, a new story, new areas to explore, chests to open, and new mechanics to learn. However, the most interesting part of it all is the addition of a new path, the Path of Remembrance, and three new characters that we’ll be able to get our hands on and try out. Let’s learn more about these new characters below.

The Herta
The Herta will be the first character to appear in Version 3.0. Players will be able to obtain her from her limited-time banner known as the [Message From Beyond]. The Herta is a 5-star Ice character that follows the Path of Erudition, similar to the 4-star Herta. She looks like a powerful DPS unit that will inflict a unique effect known as [Interpretation] that works in a similar way to Black Swan’s stacks. The Herta will be able to stack this effect on enemies in a variety of ways, and the more stacks of the effect enemies have, the more damage The Herta will deal with the Enhance E skill. In short, The Herta is shaping up into a powerful burst-unit that also has good building blocks for a sustained DPS character.

Aglaea
Aglaea is going to be our first limited 5-star Remembrance unit and the one that will introduce us to the Path of Remembrance. Players will be able to get her from her limited-time character banner [Tailored Fate] that will take place during the second phase of Version 3.0. Aglaea is a powerful Lightning DPS that follows the Path of Remembrance, allowing her to use a unique summon to aid her in combat. Aglaea is a unique character that relies heavily on the SPD stat to increase her personal damage and the damage of her companion. This brings a unique take to the game, as before SPD was viewed as something solely important to increasing the number of turns a character takes and not a way to further boost a character’s power. As such, it is interesting to see how Aglaea will fit into the meta and how stacking a lot of SPD on her will either make or break the game. Due to being the first Remembrance unit, there is definitely a lot of anticipation placed on Aglaea’s shoulders, and we can’t wait to see how she will perform once she is released.

Remembrance Trailblazer
Lastly, this version will also give players the chance to obtain a new path for the Trailblazer, the Path of Remembrance. While we said that Aglaea is the character that will introduce us to this new path, that was not entirely true. The first character that we’ll get, which will give us the chance to try out the new path, is none other than the Trailblazer. Under the Remembrance Path, the Trailblazer will receive a new companion in the form of [Mem]. The Trailblazer’s skills work in conjunction with Mem to buff allies’ CRIT DMG, advance their actions, and also deal a bucket full of damage. All in all, the Remembrance Trailblazer is shaping up to be an interesting character that might once again surprise us with how good they are!
