The new trailers for House of the Dragon have just been released, and they are truly amazing! The wait since the last teaser in December 2023 was definitely worth it. Now, we not only have a glimpse into what lies ahead in the story of Game of Thrones' spin-off but also a specific release date for the show! Check out all you need to know below!

House of the Dragon Season 2: New Trailers

We finally received updates for the next installment of Game of Thrones' spin-off! House of the Dragon has not one, but two new trailers, which masterfully provide us with two different perspectives of the story. The first season of the show ended on a huge cliffhanger, hinting at the beginning of a war in Westeros after Rhaenyra learned about her son's murder.

In Season 2, we are about to witness the Dance of the Dragons, or in other words, the Targaryen Civil War. The two trailers depict each side of the conflict, with the Black Council featuring Rhaenyra and Daemon on one side, and the Green Council with Alicent, Otto, and King Aegon on the other. All fans of the show are now at a crossroads, needing to choose whom they will support in the upcoming war.

Both the Black and Green Councils are eagerly preparing for their conflict, showing determination to prevail over the Iron Throne. Some of the returning characters featured in the trailers include Aemond Targaryen, Corlys Velaryon, Rhaena Targaryen, and Criston Cole. However, many new faces are also joining the show. The Starks are finally becoming part of the story in the Game of Thrones prequel.

House of the Dragon Season 2 will premiere on June 16 on HBO and HBO Max. The adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood” has been highly anticipated by fans and will depict the rivalry between the fierce Princess Rhaenyra and the strong-willed Queen Alicent.
