How to Easily Cure a Zombie Villager in Minecraft

In the world of Minecraft, villagers are peaceful mobs that can trade with players. But what happens when a zombie attacks and turns a villager into a zombie villager? Don't worry, it's possible to cure a zombie villager and turn it back to normal. This guide will show you how to cure a zombie villager in Minecraft.

What You'll Need to Cure a Zombie Villager

Before you start, make sure to gather these items:

• A golden apple (made with 8 gold ingots and 1 apple)
• A splash potion of weakness
• A safe enclosed space to trap the zombie villager

The splash potion of weakness requires a fermented spider eye, blaze powder, a water bottle, a brewing stand, and gunpowder to craft.

Trapping and Weakening the Zombie Villager

The first step is to lure the zombie villager into an enclosed space like a house and trap it inside. Make sure it can't escape or open doors.

Next, throw the splash potion of weakness at the zombie villager through a small opening to give it the Weakness effect. This reduces its strength and zombie characteristics, making it easier to cure.

Feeding the Golden Apple and Curing

Now it's time to feed the zombie villager the golden apple. Use your right-click or secondary action key to do this. You'll hear a sizzling sound and see the zombie villager get red eyes and golden particles come out of it's body.

The zombie villager will gain extra strength during the curing process, so leave it trapped and wait a few minutes. In 1-2 minutes on Bedrock or 3-5 minutes on Java, the zombie will fully transform back into a regular villager.

You can leave the area while waiting - the curing will still happen. On Bedrock, saving and reloading your world can also skip the wait time.
