Obsidian Ring is an item added in Genshin Impact 5.0 that allows players to access the secret spaces of each Tribe. Players can only get an Obsidian Ring by first collecting what are known as Obsidian Fragments.

How to Get Obsidian Fragments
Obsidian Fragments are items that come in three colors depending on the Tribe they are associated with. As of version 5.0, there are three types of Obsidian Fragments:
- Yellow Obsidian Fragment
- Green Obsidian Fragment
- Azure Obsidian Fragment
These fragments can be found in one way.
Random Drop from Precious and Luxurious Chests
By exploring Natlan and opening Precious and Luxurious Chests, you have a chance to drop a randomly colored Obsidian Fragment.
Additionally, as of version 5.0, there are currently three tribes in Natlan, and by opening chests closer to each of the tribes, you have a higher chance of obtaining Obsidian Fragments of that Tribe’s color.

How to Make Obsidian Ring
To make an Obsidian Ring, players must gather 3 Obsidian Fragments of the same color. There are currently three kinds of Obsidian Rings available in the game.
- Yellow Obsidian Ring
- Green Obsidian Ring
- Azure Obsidian Ring
By gathering three Obsidian Fragments of the same color, you will be able to craft one of the above rings.
How to Use Obsidian Ring
After you’ve crafted the Obsidian Rings, you can head on over to each Tribe’s secret trove. These secret troves are protected by a barrier, and the only way to open this barrier is to use the Obsidian Ring.
After using the ring, you’ll be able to enter the secret trove and obtain treasures inside.
