Bethesda

In the vast realm of Starfield, you'll encounter numerous challenges and puzzles, but one thing you won't find is a straightforward guide on how to drag bodies and items. Whether you want to relocate a fallen adversary or take along a valuable item, this guide reveals the simple method to achieve it, even though it's not listed in the game's settings.

How to Drag Bodies and Items

  1. Approach the Object: As you approach an item or a fallen character, an information box will typically appear. This box might contain items you can retrieve from the person or provide details about the item's weight and value.

  2. Hold the 'Take' Button: While the box might not display any explicit 'drag' or 'hold' options, you can easily pick up the body or item by holding down the 'Take' button. Your character will then carry it along with them.

The default key for 'Take' is 'E' for PC.

Please note that this method doesn't apply to all objects. For instance, chairs and other types of seating can't be dragged around; they are designed solely for sitting purposes.
