What Is the Three Strikes LTM in Apex Legends?
The Three Strikes game mode was first introduced in Season 19 during the Post Malone event and is a competition between teams with three members each. This LTM event is very intense, and battles occur more frequently than usual. However, the fast-paced nature of the mode comes from the fact that every team can be revived two times after being killed. This means two more chances to win the game.
A team can only be eliminated after all three of its members are downed. Players are allowed to fight persistently towards the win, especially since every time you are respawned, you have your full gear.

What Is New In Three Strikes Season 20?
To fit the current patch in Apex Legends, Three Strikes comes with slight changes compared to how it was in Season 19:
- Revive time reduced to 2.0s (Previously 1.0s)
- Players revived with 100% health and 0% shields (Previously 70% health)
- New minimum guaranteed loot system - ensures you respawn with a competitive version of your loadout and inventory
What's more, as mentioned, the new Urban Legends Event also brought a new Apex Tournament System that will actually be applied in the Three Strikes competitions. The new in-game system is called Apex Rumble Beta and will allow you to earn points based on your performance in Three Strikes. These points will rank you based on the points of other players with similar skills as you. After the Apex Rumble ends, players can win rewards corresponding to their total earned points.
This tournament system comes with some important features that will affect your Three Strike battles. Learn more about them in our previous article where we talked about Apex Rumble Beta.

Tips On How To Do Good in Apex's Three Strikes
Now that you understand the specifics of the Three Strikes LTM, here are some tips to help you and your teammates secure a win and collect more points for the Apex Rumble system.
- Avoid landing in isolated places. Doing so may result in finding only low-tier items, leaving you with Grey Armor. Instead, aim for locations with more players. Try to avoid engaging until other teams are occupied with each other. Sneak in, loot quickly, upgrade your armor and items, and retreat. This will prepare you for confrontations and give you an advantage over your enemies.
- Including Support Legends in your team is crucial. With reduced revive time, it's essential to stay alive as long as possible. Support Legends can access Support Bins, providing valuable resources to your team and increasing your chances of survival. Pay close attention to your health, as the LTM is significantly more intense than others. Some good choices for Support Legends include Lifeline, Mirage, and Loba.
- Group Up. As mentioned in the LTM description, a team is eliminated only when all three members are knocked down. To prevent this, stay close together. This allows you to revive each other quickly and launch a more coordinated and powerful attack against enemies.
- Keep Fighting. Until the last moment, nothing is lost. You have three chances to win the battle royale with your teammates. Make every respawn count, and use them wisely. With determination and teamwork, you can eliminate all your competitors and emerge victorious.
