Tips For Every Venture Ability
Smart Excavator
Launch a seismic charge that bursts after a short distance.
The Smart Excavator is your primary weapon, dealing 80 damage for accurate hits and even causing splash damage within a 4-meter range. It's a powerful weapon that can deal significant damage, especially when combined with Venture's mobility, allowing you to flank and eliminate other DPS or support heroes with ease.
Keep in mind that the Smart Excavator, like the rest of Venture's kit, has very short range. Utilize your surroundings to hide as much as possible, as you'll need to stay close to your enemies.
When facing enemies with long-range abilities such as Widowmaker or Ana, it's best to stay hidden and avoid direct confrontation.
Explorer's Resolve
Using abilities grants temporary shields.
Explorer's Resolve will make you an even bigger threat. The more you use your abilities, the more additional shield you will gain. In other words, by attacking your enemies, you become more invincible. During fights, make sure to use your abilities frequently.
Clobber
Quick melee deals more damage.
Clobber is Venture's passive ability, which is of great help in their fights. Despite the lack of wider-range abilities, this passive allows Venture to dominate the battlefield with an additional 70 damage (40 impact, 30 over time).
It is important to be acquainted with this passive, as missing will result in a longer animation that will slow down your reactions.

Drill Dash
Dash forward, pushing enemies back. Can be used underground with reduced cooldown.
Drill Dash allows Venture to push enemies while also dealing damage to them. It is a versatile skill that enables you to move in any direction and jump very high. This ability bears resemblance to Doomfist's well-known move and can be utilized similarly. For instance, you can use Drill Dash to push rival heroes off the map.
You can activate Drill Dash while underground (Burrow) to gain additional movement speed. If you dash under enemies, you can use it again, albeit dealing reduced damage. However, combining Drill Dash and Burrow halves the cooldown of your dash, allowing you to attack enemies as soon as you resurface.
Burrow
Move underground and become invulnerable. Emerge to deal damage.
Burrow is your ultimate escape tool to evade any heated situation or ambush your rivals. Not only does it grant you the chance to move throughout the map unharmed for 4 seconds, but it also allows you to deal damage. When emerging from the ground, you can charge Burrow so that anyone near your jumping point takes damage. Here are some important tips about Burrow and how to use it effectively:
- You can infiltrate the enemy's territory and locate their positions.
- Support heroes cannot heal you while you are underground, but you can pick up health packs.
- Burrow does not activate immediately, so avoid using it near enemies, as it would make you an easy target.
- Charging Burrow to maximum when leaving the ground will make you jump much higher and deal more damage to nearby rivals.
- You can use Burrow to quickly return to the battlefield after being eliminated.
- While moving with Burrow, you can transition from a higher to a lower elevation, but this will reveal you and make you an easy target.
- Using Burrow will automatically recharge your primary weapon.
- You can defend objectives while in Burrow.

Tectonic Shock
Send out damaging shockwaves.
You can unleash a total of 4 shockwaves that deal 130 damage each. Although the damage is significant, there are a few downsides to this ultimate ability that you must keep in mind:
- Shields can block the shockwaves.
- Flying heroes or anyone high enough from the ground will not be affected by this ultimate.
However, Tectonic Shock can be quite useful when used against grouped-up teams. You can collaborate with other champions who can gather enemies in one place to create a highly effective and deadly attack. Additionally, you can send the shockwaves under payloads to conceal it and directly hit your enemies.
Have you tried Venture yet? If not, these tips will definitely make it easier for you to perform well in the game as soon as you pick her. Have fun during the new Overwatch 2 Season 2!
