How to Respec Passives and Skill Points in Last Epoch

After 6 years in early access, Last Epoch has officially launched a few days ago, and the game might be one of the best ARPGs out there. Despite its server and login problems, if you play for a few hours, you will fall in love with the world of Eterra. Just like any other game of the genre, once you start leveling up your character, you will have to allocate points to your passives. In Last Epoch, there are two kinds of passives to level up: Mastery Passives and Skill Passives. In this guide, we will teach you how you can respec your points in each of them. 

How to Respec Mastery Skill Points in Last Epoch

There are tons of builds made by the community of the game. Whether you are following a community build and are unhappy with your choices, or you are crafting and experimenting with your own build, knowing how to respec passives in the Mastery tree is crucial. You can respec them as early as the first town you enter in the game. In every major town, look for the NPC marked by a Purple Brain icon on the map.

Upon talking to the NPC, choose the 'Respecialize Mastery Point allocations' option. This will open the menu with your Mastery Passives. To respec a desired passive point, left-click on it, and a menu will appear asking for gold to remove the passive. The downside is that you can only respec one passive at a time; you cannot remove an entire mastery tree simultaneously. 

How To Respec Skill Points in Last Epoch

Respeccing points in your Skills & Specializations tree is easier. You can do it anywhere; no NPC is needed. Simply press 'S' to open the menu, click on the desired skill, and go to the respec window on the upper right side of the screen.

You will have two options: 'Remove Skill Points' and 'Despecialize Skill'. Choosing the first option allows you to remove one point at a time, which will cost you a level of experience.

Choosing the other option will completely remove the entire skill tree, giving you the opportunity to add another skill for you to start leveling up. The good news is if you choose to change your skill specialization, you won't have to start from zero; it will start from your current skill level minus ten. For example, if you are removing a level 20 skill, the new one will start from level 10.
