How Does Auto-Persuade Work in Starfield?
When you engage in Persuasion encounters in Starfield, you'll notice two key elements: the Persuasion Gauge on the left side of the text box and the Auto-Persuade ring on the right. Each time you make a successful dialogue choice, the Auto-Persuade ring fills up gradually. Once it's completely filled, you can press the corresponding button within the ring, and the game takes the reins.
The extent to which the Auto-Persuade ring fills depends on the difficulty of your choice. For instance, a successful green option with a +1 modifier will fill it slightly, while an orange option with a +4 modifier will fill it significantly.
When you activate Auto-Persuade, the game automatically selects the dialogue option that yields the most points and significantly increases its chances of success. While persuasion in Starfield involves an element of chance, your Auto-Persuade will succeed more often than not.
Unlocking Auto-Persuade
Auto-Persuade is a handy feature, but it may not be accessible from the beginning. To unlock Auto-Persuade, you must first acquire the Persuasion skill.
Some character backgrounds grant you the Persuasion skill right away. However, if you didn't choose such an option, don't worry! You can still acquire the Persuasion skill. In Starfield, you receive a skill point each time you level up. You can spend these points as you see fit, but to access Auto-Persuade, you must invest in the Persuasion skill.
