The newly announced Indiana Jones video game collaboration between Lucasfilm Games, Bethesda, and Microsoft naturally stirred excitement in fans. However, with Bethesda now an Xbox studio property under Microsoft, an important question arises - will Indiana Jones and the Great Circle also be released on PlayStation 5 alongside Xbox and PC?

Initial PS5 Plans Amended
When originally conceived, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was intended for launch across major platforms including PS5. In fact, Bethesda had already signed contracts with Disney securing PlayStation release rights.
However, plans changed following Microsoft's industry-shaking acquisition of Bethesda in March 2021.

Is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Available on PS5?
As a result of the shifts in deals and ownership, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is no longer planned for release on PlayStation 5. The cinematic action-adventure is now solely confirmed for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC as of January 2024.
Of course, the door perhaps isn't completely closed on PS5 or even Switch versions materializing someday. But such ports seem highly unlikely at launch given Microsoft's positioning of major Bethesda titles as key platform exclusives and drivers for Game Pass subscriptions.

So PlayStation players eager for classic Indy escapades, unfortunately, need to look elsewhere in the meantime as Indiana Jones embarks solely on Xbox and PC come 2024.
