Throne and Liberty is finally out in the West, and players can enjoy the game on various consoles such as PC, Xbox, and PS5. However, being able to play on different consoles poses the question of whether Throne and Liberty has crossplay available and if you can play with your friends who might be playing on a different platform. Well, the answer to that is yes. Throne and Liberty does have crossplay, but it doesn’t come without a bit of limitations.

Is Crossplay Available
Yes, crossplay will automatically be turned on whenever you first start playing Throne and Liberty. This means that you will be able to match with players on PC, Xbox, and even PS5. There is currently no way to disable crossplay, and neither is there information if this functionality will be available in the future.

Crossplay Conditions
Currently, there is only one condition for crossplay, and that is for all players to be on the same server and world. This means that you won’t be able to play with your friends if you, for example, have a character on the Asia server while their character is on the EU server. Either one of you will have to create a character on your friend’s server to be able to play together.
The good thing is that you can create a character on any server, but if you choose a server that is geographically far away from you, you might run into performance and ping issues, which might impact your experience.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that PS5 players have access to exclusive PS5 servers, which allows them to only play with other PS5 users. That being said, we do not recommend these servers because limiting the potential player base of a server makes it more likely that the server will go down faster, leaving you with no one to play with and having to start over on another server. So consider this before you decide to play on the PS5-exclusive servers!
