When you are trying to track down the bandits responsible for the massacre at the horse farm, you will find yourself heading to Uzhitz looking for a lead.

The lords of Rattay realize that you make a decent detective and have sent you out into the world to find Limpy Lubosh. The only information you have is that he resides in Uzhitz. Head over to the quiet village to get started. When you are in Uzhitz, remember to visit the scribe and learn to read if you haven’t already. It will make this quest and others easier.

Mysterious Ways Quest Guides for Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

When you get to Uzhitz, depending on the direction you come into town, you might notice that a crowd is gathered around a house on the outskirts. If you don’t see it, you can talk to the barmaid in the tavern and she will point you in the right direction. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the tavern is always a good place to pick up information.

The gathering people make the house easy to find in KCD but as you can imagine, something is wrong. Someone got to Limpy Lubosh before you did and killed him. They arranged his body to make a statement, leaving the word “Judas” as a clear warning. The villagers crowding around saw and heard nothing and nobody has any clue who could have done it.

This might seem like a dead end but don’t worry. Talk to the bailiff and everyone else nearby for a lead. The only clue you will find is that Lubosh has recently started to go to church and talk to the priest. This wouldn’t be strange in medieval Bohemia but Lubosh wasn’t the religious type. You can talk to everyone to increase your speech skill but as soon as you know about Father Godwin, you can leave the crime scene.

You will have to talk to the priest next. Father Godwin is usually in the church at the top of the hill or you can spot him just outside practicing his swordplay. It is strange to see a priest training with a blade but Godwin is not a normal man of the cloth. At first, he won’t be helpful. He does know something and makes that clear but cannot share the information because divulging someone’s confession is against the rules of the church.

How to Convince Father Godwin to Help in Kingdom Come: Deliverance

He will ask you to meet him later in the tavern. This will give him some time to think of a way to help. Head over at the required time and tell him about your life so far in KCD. This will help build some trust between the two of you. He will also tell you about the kind of sermons he wishes he could give. Listen closely to what he says here, it will be important later. He will promise to help you in the morning and then ask if you want to have a drink with him.

Do not refuse! Even though he is a priest, he is also an alcoholic. This will end up being a messy night for you. You will get in a fight with the bailiff when you drink too much and start to cause trouble. The night is eventful in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. You will wake up the whole village by ringing the church bell and engage in some other activities with one of the barmaids. When you wake up in the morning, Godwin will remember that he has to give Mass straight away.

You will both be extremely hungover and still a little drunk so he asks you to give the sermon instead. Agree to help and hurry over to the church. Don’t get distracted at this point, if Godwin reaches the church without you, he will go inside alone and the mission will fail.

How to Give the Best Sermon in Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Next in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you will have to give a sermon to a village of people who all hate you for keeping them awake all night. This is where it can get tricky because if you make a mistake here, it can lead to Godwin refusing to help you with your bandit problem.

1. Begin the sermon confidently.
2. Choose “God stands at the head of the church”.
3. Continue harshly.
4. Say “To sin is human”.
5. Continue harshly.
6. Criticize the prelates but stand up for Godwin.

The villagers will leave satisfied and Father Godwin will finally tell you what Limpy Lubosh confessed to him. He doesn’t know a lot but he knows that Lubosh had a friend in Ledetchko called Reeky. Now you have a new lead, it is time to leave. You might want to wait for your hangover to wear off first.

If you fail in any way in Mysterious Ways, Godwin will no longer help and you will have to talk to the Bailiff again. He will suggest that you head to Rattay and talk to the magistrate there. Talk to the lawman and he will give you the black book to read. Take a look and it will lead you to Ledetchko in search for Reeky as well. You can come away with the same result.
