Last Epoch Eternity Cache: How to Get & Use

The endgame dungeon Temporal Sanctum in Last Epoch offers players an opportunity to add a bonus Legendary item to their inventory using an interesting loot system called the Eternity Cache. This is a quick guide to show you how to get the Eternity Cache in Last Epoch as well as how to use it.

How to Get Eternity Cache in Last Epoch

Upon hitting level 50 in Last Epoch, the Temporal Sanctum dungeon becomes available. Inside lies the Eternity Cache next to a stash that provides access to inventory items.

Interacting with the cache pulls up options to seal it in the past Eternal Era or retrieve the yield in the future Ruined Era after fast traveling back using Temporal Shift.

How to Use Eternity Cache in Last Epoch

The Eternity Cache allows combining two pieces of gear into one powerful Legendary version in Last Epoch. It requires a Unique rarity gear with Legendary Potential and an Exalted version of the same item type. For example, fusing a Unique sword with Legendary Potential and an Exalted sword.

Additionally, the Exalted item needs four unsealed affixes. Sealed affixes do not contribute to the Legendary item. The Legendary Potential score of the Unique piece determines how many mods transfer over from the Exalted sacrifice.

Crafting Steps Using Eternity Cache

As exciting as it sounds, certain steps need to be followed first to craft an item with the Eternity Cache. After acquiring the necessary Unique and Exalted items, here are the steps to craft Legendary gear:

1. Interact with the Eternity Cache in the Eternal Era and place both items inside.
2. Select the "Seal Cache" option.
3. Use Temporal Shift to travel to the Ruined Era.
4. Check the cache again and claim the new Legendary item.
5. It will have the base item type of the Unique piece and some mods from the Exalted piece based on Legendary Potential.

Upgrade Unique gear by extracting affixes from Exalted items within a specific era. This process doesn't upgrade the already existing Legendary items. The upgraded level is determined by the affixes, and different gear types, for example, Shields and Boots cannot be combined.

The Eternity Cache allows players to turn unwanted items into powerful endgame gear. By strategically combining items in specific categories, players can have a goal for high-tier Legendary items.
