Riot Games are possibly looking into shaking up the entire game as new leaks hint at possible terrain changes to Summoner's Rift. As per screenshots on Twitter, the terrain is no longer visible around Baron, suggesting a different approach to both the Jungle role and teamfighting for objectives.

Old Baron Pit vs. New Open Field
It's no secret that League of Legends is a very old game, and Baron has remained largely untouched over the last decade. Lack of changes have resulted in longer games feeling repetitive. The community seems to welcome these new map changes, as they have the potential to entirely transform the way late-game matches unfold in Season 14 and beyond.

The new Baron Pit shown below has no walls surrounding the objective, making the area more dangerous for teamfights. This also makes it a lot riskier to sneak Baron, as it could be contested easily from every angle, not just the entrance of the pit.
We believe players will go for Baron more often due to the increased accessibility. Moreover, we are bound to see a lot more matches being decided in the very last minute thanks to this crucial change.

Mid Lane Changes Adding More Dangers
Тhe leaks also show a change in the mid lane, with the path to river being wider, and the path to Blue Camp being blocked off on the Red Side. This will drastically change roaming opportunities for midlaners whilst opening new avenues for junglers to gank.
With Riot Games confirming terrain changes, there is a high probability of this map layout replacing the current one, and making it to live servers. Surely exciting news for the future of the game for bringing about this massive change to the core gameplay.
