Riot Games is expected to release the new champion Hwei around November 21, 2023. Not much is known about this new addition to the game as we know that he will be a mid laner who has drawing-related abilities.

Rioters have teased us with his signature as we are yet to find out more about the upcoming mid laner. It seems that the developers are intending to give him a complex kit as this ambitious idea of him being a painter could mean that his skills will be not your typical champion abilities. Given Riot's track record and their philosophy behind creating new champions, we can expect Hwei to break the mold and offer a new and interesting way of playing the game.

The inspiration behind Hwei can be traced to a character who is sensitive, yet eager to show his talent to the world with gorgeous colors encompassing his entire life. Yearning to show beauty to the world by following the footsteps of the masters before him, but also brave enough to share his visions for art by not backing down from a fight, whether artistic life-threatening. There is still more to find out about this champion's backstory, but knowing Riot Games, it will be a masterpiece just like Hwei's paintings.

Many players are already speculating what his kit might look like, as some are drawing inspiration from other games like Dota 2, remarking that it would be great to have an Invoker-type character added to the mix.
