League of Legends' competitive season is divided into splits, each offering its own unique challenges in Ranked. Split 1 typically marks the beginning of a new ranked season, offering players a fresh start to climb the ranks and improve their skills. It's a time for setting goals and mastering champions. When Does Split 1 in LoL Ranked End?
LoL players are 2 months into Season 2024 Split 1, yet Riot is sharing the upcoming end date. Ranked Season 14 Split 1 will end on May 14, 2024 at 23:59:59 according to your server's local time.
This means LoL players have only 2 months left to climb in Ranked. Afterward, there will be a soft reset of the ranks, meaning you will drop lower on the ladder. The climbing will start again in Split 2.
When does Split 2 in LoL Ranked 2024 Start?
Split 2 will start on the same day Split 1 ends in League of Legends. LoL players can expect Season 14 Split 2 to start on May 15, 2024 at 12:00:00 according to their server's local time.
As we discussed before, you'll be placed in a lower rank once Split 2 begins. This is the so-called 'Mid-Year Reset'. But don't worry and get back to climbing! The good news is the Promotion system no longer exists so you'll be able to get to your previous rank in no time.

Ranked Date Bug
In the recent LoL Patch 14.5 Riot game addressed a Ranked bug they've run into. It caused the ranked countdown timer in the client to count down to the Split 1 end date based on last year's end date. The team has prepared a fix and it will be going live in Patch 14.6 to match the dates and times mentioned above.
