Game 1

NRG Champions

G2 Champions

K'Sante, Vi, Neeko, Senna, Tahm Kench

Jax, Bel'Veth, Syndra, Kai'Sa, Rell

With Yike locking in his Bel'Veth, he was able to invade Contractz's jungle and gain a great CS lead against NRG's jungler which further allowed him to gank mid and secure First Blood. G2's bot lane was then met with the power of Senna and Tahm Kench with NRG equalizing the kill score. After a messy skirmish from G2 on mid lane, NRG were able to secure one more kill and slowly start taking control of the game by establishing a 2K gold lead.

NRG with a fantastic display of game knowledge and positiong were able to escalate their lead by securing more picks onto G2 as Contractz's Vi has been dominating every single lane in the game. An absolute slaughter on the side of NRG as the game quickly escalated to an 8K gold lead in favor of the LCS' 1st seed. Despite all the attempts of stabilizing the game from LEC's 1st seed, NRG are simply overpowering every teamfight and skirmish.

NRG with a clean and aggressive performance for the first game as they were able to snowball their way into a convincing victory leading the series 1-0.

Game 2

G2 Champions

NRG Champions

Ornn, Poppy, Azir, Xayah, Nautilus

Rumble, Jarvan IV, Taliyah, Sivir, Rakan

The second game starts off rather calmly as G2 are looking into picking up the pace in the mid game as NRG was able to secure the first drake. Yike with a clutch Herald steal was able to deny NRG a lot of turret plates. Mikyx found himself in a bad position in NRG's jungle as Contractz was able to secure First Blood. G2's Nautilus was able to hook and kill FBI's Sivir with a great play from the LEC's bot lane.

Following a scrappy fight on top, Contractz was able to kill Caps but G2 clapped back by securing their second Herald of the game. With G2 trying to stop NRG from getting to soul point, a teamfight broke out as the LCS team was able to win in the end and secure the Hextech dragon. Despite the pick onto Palafox, NRG strike back and collapsed on G2 winning the skirmish 4 kills to 2.

As the underdogs of the match, NRG were able to outplay G2 by winning the series 2-0. One of the biggest upsets in the NA vs EU clashes at Worlds. NRG has shown a very convincing performance on the side of Western teams as they qualify to Quarter-Finals whilst G2 still have a chance tomorrow to show their best.

Game 1

T1 Champions

BLG Champions

Gnar, Jarvan IV, Azir, Senna, Tahm Kench

Renekton, Nidalee, Orianna, Kai'Sa, Rell

An absolutely explosive start of the game as an invade in T1's jungle leads to an amazing lead by the LCK's 2nd seed securing the first two kills of the match. BLG were able to strike back and secure a kill onto Keria as Xun's Nidalee is starting to gain traction. The Eastern teams have chosen violence today as the aggressive playstyle by both competitors have translated into a very dynamic gamestate where any small mistake might cost the mid game.

The very anticipated matchup of Zeus vs Bin in the top lane lead to a solo kill by T1's Gnar. After several skirmishes, T1 was able to establish a significant lead against BLG by securing neutral objectives and further increasing gold lead up to a 5K difference. BLG was able to catch Zeus and secure a shutdown in an attempt to slow down the game and stabilize their presence. T1 with an absolutely fantastic 4v5 against BLG lands them the opportunity to secure Baron and further stomp their opponents.

T1 came out swinging in the first match of the Bo3 series by finishing the game and leading the series 1-0.

Game 2

BLG Champions

T1 Champions

Jax, Vi, Syndra, Xayah, Alistar

Gragas, Jarvan IV, Orianna, Jinx, Tahm Kench

BLG secure First Blood after a great combo of Syndra and Vi CC. With their foot on the pedal, the LPL contendors pick up the pace and further escalate the aggression by securing two additional kills both on ton and mid lane. T1 was able to fight back by claiming the first drake and getting two kills for their Jinx. After a good pick on Elk, T1 were able to slow down the game and start scaling their Jinx into relevancy in future teamfights.

With the game being completely equal, both teams are looking for windows of opportunities to punish any mistakes, but Gumayusi is simply unstoppable on his Jinx. Despite a dominant performance by BLG in the early game, T1 were able to capitalize on skirmishes going their way and cementing their ADC as the MVP of the game with Oner actively isolating Elk in teamfights.

After a completely dominant mid and late game, T1 were able to secure their second win in the series going 2-0.
