Fast travel is a key element in Lords of the Fallen, making your journey smoother. Unlike most Soulslike games that have specific checkpoints for traveling, Lords of the Fallen introduces an additional feature that enhances exploration.
In the game, you'll encounter Vestiges and Vestige Seedlings, both serving as fast travel points. However, there's a difference: Vestiges can be used repeatedly, while Vestige Seedlings have specific conditions.
How to Fast Travel in Lords of the Fallen
Using a Vestige To fast travel in Lords of the Fallen, first activate a Vestige, which becomes a permanent checkpoint for your future travels. These Vestiges are the remains of fallen lampbearers, and you activate the checkpoint lamp with the Umbral Lamp. Resting at a Vestige will return you to Axiom, the realm of the living.

Once a Vestige is activated, lampbearers can travel from their current location to another activated Vestige in Lords of the Fallen by selecting the "Warp to Vestige" option. Keep in mind that not interacting with a Vestige lamp upon discovery won't make it available as a travel point.
Apart from fast travel, you can use your earned Vigor to upgrade your character and gain new skills. The Multiplayer option allows you to invite unknown lampbearers, friends, help friends in other worlds, and participate in invasions.
The most significant feature at a Vestige is the "Rest" option, which resets your Sanguinarix and replenishes your health. However, be aware that the world resets too, causing all defeated enemies to respawn, except for slain bosses.

How to Fast Travel in Lords of the Fallen Using a Vestige Seedling
As you progress through the world of Lords of the Fallen and reach the Redcopse Windmill, you'll activate the Vestige of Marco the Axe. While exploring further, you'll come across an Umbral flowerbed.
The bed of flowers allows you to plant a Vestige Seed, creating a temporary checkpoint with the same features as a regular Vestige. Here, you can rest, request backup, or upgrade skills. The only drawback is that when you encounter another Umbral flowerbed and plant a different Vestige Seed, the previous one becomes unavailable.
The first Vestige Seed can be obtained from The Iron Wayfarer when you encounter him for the second time in a small shack just before the Pieta boss fight. Afterward, you can purchase Vestige Seeds from a special vendor named Molhu once you reach Skyrest Bridge.
