Inserting Umbral Eyes in Lords of the Fallen

Umbral Eyes function much like rings and amulets, but they don't have dedicated equipment slots. Instead, they are inserted into the Umbral Lamp. To use Umbral Eyes, you'll need to locate Molhu, a hidden vendor found within the Skyrest Bridge.

Molhu is an Umbral entity, which means he resides in the Umbral Realm. To find him, travel to the Umbral Realm from the Skyrest Bridge Vestige and ascend the stairs near Pieta. The previously empty altar room is now occupied by Molhu, a many-armed entity offering various crucial services.

Molhu not only allows you to harness the power of Umbral Eyes, but he also sells Umbral magic items and Vestige Seeds, which are essential for creating checkpoints on Umbral flower beds. Inserting Umbral Eyes is cost-free, but the number of eyes you can use at once depends on your Umbral Lamp's upgrade level. If you've found any Antediluvian Chisels, give them to Molhu to enhance your lamps.

What Do Umral Eyes Do?

Umbral Eyes provide passive bonuses that offer extra effects for various actions. These bonuses are not exclusively linked to Umbral magic or the withered health mechanic, even though many Umbral Eyes tend to emphasize these aspects. Some examples of Umbral Eye passives include:

  • Slowing down enemies within lamp siphon range.
  • Gaining damage immunity for a short period after entering the Umbral Realm.
  • When charging a heavy attack, your posture cannot be broken, and all damage taken is converted into wither damage.

You can discover Umbral Eyes hidden in the game's environment. They are typically located in the Umbral Realm, so be sure to investigate points of interest and other suspicious objects to uncover these secrets. While exploring the Umbral Realm is an option, be cautious not to overstay your welcome, as the Reaper may become a threat if you linger too long.
