With the start of 2025, many fans and players look forward to watching their favorite competitive teams duking it out in one of the most popular Esports. Having that in mind, every major League of Legends region has adapted to Riot Games' new three-split Ranked system, as it has also made its way to the pro scene, in preparation for the new third major First Stand international tournament happening later in March this year.
Bearing that in mind, all five major competitive scenes will need to send out the best-performing team to represent their region, and with the LPL starting soon, let us see what the second week will have in store for fans watching at home.

LPL 2025 Split 1 Format and Matches
The Chinese region features a whopping 16 teams, separated into 4 pools based on each team's average final place in the 2025 Spring and Summer Splits. Split 1 will start off with best-of-five (Bo5) matches between all 16 of the teams up until the Split 1 Playoffs.
The Split 1 format will include Fearless Draft, meaning that champions can only be picked once per series by either team.
