Manor Lords is coming to PC on April 26 and is number one on Most Wishlisted Upcoming Steam Games. The interesting blend of city-building simulation and real-time strategy has grabbed many gamers’ attentions. Set in the medieval era, you will be able to create your settlement using a gridless system and let your villagers build and grow organically in the areas you have assigned.

You will have to defend your settlement from bandits and invading forces in large-scale battles. Train and lead soldiers across the map as you choose to protect your people or attack neighboring lords. Manor Lords has announced that it will be focusing more on historical accuracy instead of using the common medieval tropes. So we can expect to see an authentic look into the past.

With Manor Lords' release date around the corner and our expectations already sky-high, many of us are starting to wonder if we will be able to play alongside our friends. So far everything we have seen sounds like it could have potential as more than a single-player experience.

The unfortunate news is that when the game launches on April 26, there will be no multiplayer of any kind. Let’s not forget that it is only early access so there may be some room for your friends to join your adventure.

The question came up on Steam and Reddit when the game was first revealed and the developer did respond. Slavic Magic said that while they were focusing on single-player for now, it might be a good idea at a later date. They want to polish the content they are working on now before considering adding a multiplayer mode.

There are some problems with adapting a single-player game to co-op or competitive elements but we will have to see if Slavic Magic can work around the issues. It will depend on whether the developer sees any potential in adding multiplayer aspects to Manor Lords. If Slavic Magic designed the game to be a solo experience, it may remain that way.
