Mario & Luigi: Brothership is finally here, with the official release date scheduled for November 7, 2024. The new title offers an exciting turn-based combat that allows you to control your character almost fully. However, you cannot influence aspects, such as the Lucky hits.

These punches function like Critical Hits, and one of the most thrilling challenges in the game is getting 250 of them. In this guide, we'll show you how to get Lucky hits in Mario & Luigi: Brothership.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership How To Get Lucky Hits

Although it seems like getting Lucky hits is completely random, there is a way to increase your chances of landing them, such as scoring a good or excellent attack. If you don't press the right button or you fail an attack, there's zero chance of getting a Lucky Hit. The better you are during combat, the higher your chances are of the game rewarding you with a Lucky hit.

If you use the jump attack with Mario and Luigi at the same time, you'll land two hits, both of which have a very high probability of giving you a Lucky hit. It's important to note that obtaining Lucky hits strongly depends on the brother's Stache stats as well. Luigi's are naturally higher, so make sure to use his jump combo attacks as often as you can to increase the frequency of getting Lucky Ratings.

Keep in mind that collecting 250 Lucky hits is part of the Lucky Star challenge. If you want to see your progress, you need to click on the challenge tab in the main menu, under the adventure log. As you level up your characters, you'll notice that their Stache stat increases by itself. However, you can use the following strategies to boost the Stache numbers even higher:

  • Stache Beans
  • Stache Accessories

We recommend using these items mostly on Luigi, as his Stache stats will always be higher than Mario's. Have fun and good luck on your next adventure! For more information about Super Mario, you can check out this article.
