What Are Hunter Blinds and Bases?

In Marvel's Spider-Man 2, you'll find tasks called Hunter Blinds and Bases. Playing as Spider-Man, your job is to get rid of hidden hunter spots and learn about their main hideout. Most Hunter Blinds are alike, but Hunter Bases are different from each other. This guide helps you understand what to do at each spot.


Starting Hunter Blinds and Bases

After Peter finds the hunters' invisible tech in the "Bad Guys on the Block" mission, the first Hunter Blinds and Base show up. To find the Hunter Base, you must clean up all Hunter Blinds in the area.

How to Beat Hunter Blinds

  1. Go to the hunter rooftops.
  2. Beat all the hunters. You can sneak or fight directly, but more hunters come if they see you.
  3. After beating them, use a bird drone to find the Hunter Base's location.

How to Win at Hunter Bases

Hunter Bases are big Hunter Blinds. To win:

  1. Beat all hunters.
  2. Stop extra hunters from coming by turning off the communication spot (use R3 to find it).
  3. Each base has a weak spot. Find and use it to make the fight easier.
  4. After clearing the base, you'll get their secret data and a recorded message.

Special Hunter Blind: The Laser Garden

In the Financial District, one Hunter Blind is unique. It has flying drones and deadly lasers. Go to the roof's southeast corner to turn off the power and stop the lasers. Then, use the southwest drone to learn about the local Hunter Base.

  1. Motorpool (Harlem): Stop the cars from being used in the fight. Then clear out the base and find data about the Kravinoff family.

  3. Arsenal (Upper West Side): Sneak through laser grids and defeat the robots and a tough enemy to get to the computer.

Helpful Tips

  • Use Miles' invisibility skill.
  • If caught, you can leave and come back.
  • Use the Web Line skill for easy takedowns.
  • Get the Double Takedown skill early.
  • Being spotted in one area doesn't mean you're spotted everywhere in the base.

Rewards

  • Clearing a Hunter Blind gives you 1000 XP, 5 Rare Tech Parts, and 150 Tech Parts.
  • Winning at a Hunter Base gives you 1500 XP, 5 Hero Tokens, and 350 Tech Parts.
  • Finishing all 4 Bases gets you special suits for Peter and Miles.
