The trailer is packed with captivating cinematic footage, confirming that Sandman will join the roster of sinister villains against whom Peter Parker and Miles Morales will battle. Additionally, glimpses of The Lizard are shown, but it's Venom who takes center stage.

While there's a widespread belief that Harry Osborn will assume the role of the alien symbiote instead of Eddie Brock (who has been mentioned but not introduced in previous games), this teaser seems determined to convince us that Peter Parker may succumb to his darker side.

It's not beyond reason that this transformation could play a part in Spider-Man 2, though we expect Peter and Miles to face an arduous battle against this iconic foe in the game's later stages unless Insomniac throws us an unforeseen twist.

Interestingly, it appears that the alien suit initially selects Peter as its host, much to the displeasure of Norman Osborn. It wouldn't be surprising if this narrative unfolds into Norman Osborn transforming into the Green Goblin in Spider-Man 3.

The official synopsis for the game reads: "Spider-Men Peter Parker and Miles Morales face the ultimate test of strength inside and outside the mask as they fight to save the city, each other, and the ones they love from the monstrous Venom and the dangerous new symbiote threat."

"Explore an expansive Marvel's New York with faster web-swinging and the all-new Web Wings, quickly switching between Peter and Miles to experience different stories, epic new abilities, and high-tech gear."

That is everything you need to know from the launch trailer, ahead of the game's full release on October 20th. Stay tuned for more news and guides right here on Gameleap.
