MultiVersus is finally here, and we're excited to explore the game and all the new upcoming additions it has to offer! Since its release on May 28, 2024, MultiVersus has gained a huge fan base and an impressive amount of positive reviews.

With 27 playable characters to choose from, the game is perfect for those who like diversity and thrilling fights! Although we have a wide range of fighters available, there are still a few that we are yet to welcome to the MultiVersus family, such as the incredible Agent Smith. Here's everything you need to know about Agent Smith, including how to get the character early. Let's dive in!

Agent Smith in MultiVersus

With the MultiVersus gameplay footage of Agent Smith leaking recently, players are trying their hardest to get their hands on the fighter. Unfortunately, the information currently available for the character is extremely scarce.

Although Agent Smith was teased in the MultiVersus official launch trailer along with the iconic horror villain Jason Voorhees, we never got to see many details about what to expect from the character. Thankfully, Agent Smith has been confirmed. He is definitely part of MultiVersus, and we can't wait to see how the game will showcase his abilities.

Agent Smith is currently in the hidden files that aren't accessible, but this isn't an unusual move for video game developers. Recently, we got to see a leaked video of Agent Smith in MultiVersus, and it became clear that the character is still a work in progress. Some fans even commented on X after the video leaked.

Some of these animations make it obvious he is not ready to be released as of this current patch.

How to Unlock Agent Smith in MultiVersus

Even though all characters can be unlocked eventually, there's a separate special event going on for Agent Smith right now. By participating in the Beat Rifts, Get Agent Smith Free event, you can unlock Agent Smith two weeks before he becomes available in MultiVersus. The event will run from May 27, 2024, until July 30, 2024.

All you have to do is defeat the Rift bosses in PvE mode every week on all difficulties and get at least 20 points to unlock Agent Smith. Each victory over a Rift boss signifies the completion of one level from the event. The levels are 30 in total.
