Once Human How To Start Materials Matter Quest
The first part of the Materials Matter quest will require you to find Duke Farton. You can do so by following the road southeast of Meyer's Market. The NPC will be near the flooded street leading towards the Harborside area.
The next step is to obtain some building materials for Duke Farton. You're going to need five Bronze Ingots and five units of Glass. Thankfully, they won't cost a lot, and if you already have them in your inventory, simply give them to him immediately.

Once Human How To Complete Materials Matter Quest
In case you need to craft the materials, melt some Copper and Tin together in the furnace to make Bronze Ingots. If you don't have the metals, go to the Broken Delta region or Meyer's Market to get them.
Glass is also made in the furnace, and you only need Gravel and Charcoal to craft the material. To complete the Materials Matter quest, go to Duke Farton after you're done and give him your final products.
