Bethesda

The Operative Suit in Starfield stands out as one of the most impressive spacesuits available in the game. Spacesuits in Starfield offer various bonuses and functionalities, making the choice of which one to wear an important decision.

For those who prioritize visual appeal over raw power and enjoy the role of a space pirate, the Operative Suit is an excellent choice. It gives you the appearance of a mercenary bandit always ready to undertake any task for the right amount of credits.

However, obtaining the Operative Suit in Starfield is not a straightforward task, as it is linked to an extensive quest line.

How to Obtain the Operative Suit in Starfield

To acquire the Operative Suit in Starfield, players must initiate the Ryujin Industries faction missions and complete the "Sabotage" quest. While progressing through Ryujin Industries' quests, you will eventually receive the "Sabotage" mission, which is stealth-oriented and involves breaking into Infinity Ltd. You do not need to complete this quest entirely, as the Operative Suit will be awarded to you during its course.

Here are the steps to obtain the Operative Suit in Starfield:

  1. Start the "Sabotage" quest, where you discuss a mole in Dalton's office.
  2. During the conversation, accuse Imogene of being the mole.
  3. Follow these actions:
    • Meet Doctor Veena to receive the Neuroamp.
    • Use the Neuroamp on Demarcus via the "Manipulation" option in the "Social" section of the Scanner menu (look for the black puppet icon).
    • Use the keycard in the glass room to open the door and leave by manipulating Demarcus.
    • Speak with Veena and Demarcus to receive the Overseer program.

While receiving the Overseer program, you will also be asked how you want to infiltrate Infinity Ltd. After making your decision, you will be awarded the Operative Suit.

Do You Need to Complete "Sabotage" to Keep the Operative Suit in Starfield?

You do not need to complete the "Sabotage" quest to retain the Operative Suit in Starfield. Once you obtain the Operative Suit, you have the option to skip the remaining parts of the quest and keep the suit in your inventory indefinitely. If you choose to continue the quest, you will infiltrate Infinity Ltd to run the Overseer program on Faye's computer.

In summary, you can obtain the Operative Suit in Starfield without being bound to the completion of the "Sabotage" quest. You can decide whether to explore the full questline or focus on other pursuits, saving valuable time while retaining the prized Operative Suit.
