As Overwatch 2 embarks on its sixth season, players are immersing themselves in the array of new content offered by the game. From the captivating Flashpoint game mode to long-awaited PvE story missions, and the introduction of the latest support hero, Illari, there's no shortage of activities to explore.

While Illari's reception has been largely positive, with players lauding her DPS-oriented abilities and high skill ceiling, the accolades are accompanied by critical evaluations, primarily centered around her perceived overpowered kit. Amidst the scrutiny, a growing number of players and streamers are beginning to question the size of Illari's hitboxes.

In a recent post on the Overwatch subreddit, a player initiated a discussion about Illari's hitbox dimensions, particularly drawing attention to the relatively substantial hitbox of her primary fire.

The player pointed out, 'I can't help but notice that her character model is notably smaller than any other in the game.' To substantiate this observation, they shared a screenshot comparing Illari's size to that of baby D.Va, revealing her diminutive stature.

Additionally, the post highlighted Illari's size in comparison to Torbjorn, one of the game's smallest characters. Astonishingly, Illari appears nearly as petite as Torbjorn.

Nevertheless, it's important to acknowledge that the apparent visual size of characters doesn't necessarily correlate with the actual dimensions of their invisible hitboxes—particularly within the unique Overwatch ecosystem. On occasions, heroes may possess larger hitboxes than their physical appearances suggest.

Beyond concerns regarding character hitboxes, the post also raised questions about the size of Illari's primary fire hitbox, which seems larger than those of most hitscan heroes.

While some players voiced contrasting opinions, asserting that the hitscan of her primary fire might encompass a considerable hitbox, they argued that its balance lies in the 1.5x headshot multiplier instead of the customary 2x multiplier.

Furthermore, another player pointed out that Illari's competitive gameplay remains restricted, and her potential issues may be exposed in higher ranks once she becomes accessible.

As Overwatch 2's Season 6 continues to unfold, the Overwatch community remains engaged in discussions surrounding Illari's hitbox concerns and the broader impact of her abilities.
