Overwatch 2 has been a hot topic for Blizzard since its release, with players puzzled by matchmaking, the removal of promised PVE elements, and more. This has led to it being considered one of the lowest-rated games on Steam.

Now, one of the game's developers is facing criticism for their actions during gameplay on Twitch, sparking a significant reaction on social media.

A player known as CODCode904, who is a dedicated Junkrat player, uploaded a video on August 29 that was taken from the Twitch stream of an Overwatch 2 developer. The clip seems to show the developer intentionally throwing matches by being inactive in-game.

The video originated from the Twitch channel of streamer 'kaedigames', who also identifies themselves as a Community Specialist for Overwatch on platforms like Twitter.

CODCode904 captioned the video with: "That same Blizzard Employee (Blizz_Craig) that was hatewatching me a few weeks ago AFK and griefs on stream! Gives up and says 'My team doesn’t deserve to win, I made sure of that.' Setting a great example for a Blizzard Community Specialist."

In the video, the streamer Kaedi can be seen expressing that the team doesn't deserve to win, then later complaining on the stream about not receiving a Nano Boost from an Ana, despite actually having received it.

After this, the Overwatch 2 developer stops participating in the game, stands still in the starting area, and performs an emote, leaving their team to defend a point in a four-versus-five situation during extra rounds.

CODCode904 expressed his disappointment, saying, "Please, I beg... provide job training for employees. This is beyond unprofessional. If this is what they do while streaming, imagine when they're not. I'm beyond disappointed. I hope there is a chance for redemption."

This isn't the first time that CODCode904 and Blizz_Craig have had conflicts. Previously, the streamer shared footage of the developer capturing their gameplay and labeling it as "Deliberate idling and allowing themselves to be killed."

Other streamers, including Kephrii, have criticized the developer in the comments and demanded action. However, no visible action has been taken so far. The developer's Threads account still lists them as a "video game community manager." As of now, they haven't addressed the incident on their stream.

This isn't the first instance of Blizzard developers facing criticism. In a more notable case, female employees raised concerns about their breast milk being stolen from the breakroom fridge.
