Overwatch 2 Push Mode Hit by Hilarious Glitch Trapping Players

An Overwatch 2 glitch in the Push game mode is causing players frustration as it leaves them immobile, potentially affecting the outcome of matches.

Overwatch 2 introduced several new elements to the game, including new maps, Heroes like Kiriko, and the Push game mode. Push pits two teams against each other as they vie to advance a massive robot across the map until it reaches the enemy's spawn area. This mode often results in intense, back-and-forth battles. However, players are now encountering a different kind of danger within the mode itself – map glitches.

In Push Mode, players can find themselves on various maps. One player, -BuckyBarnes, discovered that these maps can sometimes hinder a team's success. They cautioned others, saying, "Be careful on Push Maps – You can get stuck now," and substantiated their claim with a video demonstrating their character, Bastion, becoming stuck on one of the map's checkpoint spots. Upon passing over the checkpoint, their character became immobilized.

One commenter humorously remarked that the checkpoints had been turned into permanent traps like those created by the character Junkrat. Another player shared a similar experience, stating, "Happened to me as well, exact same spot."

The original poster also expressed their concern, saying, "I posted it on the Overwatch bug report forums, but I wanted to spread the word because I believe this issue cost my team a competitive match. As you can see, I got stuck and was floating indefinitely. My attacks couldn't dislodge me, not even switching to turret form. While my teammate Ana briefly got stuck, my bulky Bastion character was too large and was catapulted out. Do not approach the edges of the blue pushbot end zone!"

Presumably, this is a minor issue that can be resolved with adjustments to the game's code. However, the developers are currently busy, having recently banned over 250,000 Overwatch 2 accounts.
