Season 6 was perhaps the game's most memorable season, introducing PvE content, the dynamic new Hero, Illari, and other exciting updates. But fans are now eagerly awaiting what's next.
Season 7 Highlights:
- Release Date: October 10, as revealed in the official Season 7 teaser.
- Hero Changes: Each Overwatch season brings buffs and nerfs. This time, Sombra is set for a significant makeover. According to Aaron Keller, Lead Level Designer, “Sombra will see minor tweaks soon, but Season 7 will feature her big rework with a brand-new ability!” Zarya, Orisa, and Torbjorn are set for nerfs, while Mei and Zenyatta will get considerable revamps.
- New Map - Samoa: This season, we're getting a vibrant Control map based in Samoa. Although details are scarce, fan theories suggest it might hint at the much-awaited debut of Mauga.
- Halloween Event: With Season 7 launching close to Halloween, expect the annual event to return. While specific game modes are yet to be announced, past Halloween modes like Junkerstein’s Revenge suggest a PvE brawl style.
- Skins: Season 7's mythic skin is Onryō Hanzo, available at Tier 80 of the Battlepass. Plus, there's a teaser for a Lilith Moira skin, part of a crossover with Diablo 4 for the 2023 Halloween event.
