Precious Pelt cannot be collected from regular Pals. Instead, the only sources for Precious Pelt are the Field Bosses roaming Palworld. However, defeating a Field Boss will reward you with several Precious Pelts along with other rare drops like Ancient Civilization Parts.

The earliest Field Boss that drops Precious Pelt is Chillet, a level 11 ice/dark Pal located in the central region. But there are over 40 Field Bosses of varying difficulty scattered across the islands. Their locations remain the same across every player’s map.
