The only thing cooler than hunting for Pal eggs in the wild is breeding your own! Pals produced from breeding will inherit characteristics from their parents, and there are even some Pals known as 'Fusion Pals' that can only be collected by breeding specific Pal combos. This article guide will get you started on your breeding farm adventures!
Palworld: How to Build a Breeding Farm
First off, you'll need to build a Breeding Farm. To do this, you'll need to hit level 19 and have unlocked the Breeding Farm tech at the cost of 2 Technology Points. You can then collect the resources listed below to build the Breeding Farm.
- 100 Wood
- 50 Fiber
- 20 Stone

Palworld: How to Breed Pals
Next, you'll want to place 2 Pals of the opposite gender in the Breeding Farm building. However, this won't quite get the job done. In order to get your Pals in the zone and finish the egg-making process, you need to place a Cake within the Breeding Farm box.
To bake a cake, head over to your cooking pot and combine the following ingredients:
- 5 Flour
- 8 Red Berries
- 7 Milk
- 8 Egg
- 2 Honey
Once you have your Cake, place it in the crate outside your Breeding Farm to begin the breeding process between the 2 Pals within.

How to Hatch Eggs in Palworld:
So, you've got your egg! Unless you're making an omelette, it's time to hatch it. To do this, you'll need to build an Incubator, and this is a little trickier than building the Breeding Farm.
To unlock the Incubator, you'll need to collect and spend Ancient Technology Points. You can collect Ancient Technology Points by defeating powerful enemies such as world bosses and trainer bosses.
Palworld: Building the Egg Incubator:
- 30 Stone
- 5 Cloth
- 10 Paldium Fragments (Check out our quick guide on finding Paldium!)
- 2 Ancient Civilization Parts (Definitely the rarest component. Earn Ancient Civilization Parts by defeating rare Shiny Pals, dungeon bosses, and world bosses)
Once you have your Incubator, place your newly bred egg inside. From there, it's just a waiting game. Eggs will progress towards hatching even if you're offline, so feel free to take a break while you wait!
Alternatively, you can speed up the speed at which the egg will hatch by making sure the temperature around the egg is just right for the Pal growing inside. Some Pals prefer the warmth of a campfire beside their Incubator, while others will appreciate a cooler.
