Palworld allows players to explore a vibrant island world alongside mysterious creature companions called Pals. Once befriended, certain Pals can even be ridden as mounts for faster travel. This guide will cover how to mount and ride the various Pal mounts available in Palworld.
How to Mount and Ride a Pal in Palworld?
The first step is catching a Pal species that is capable of serving as a mount. Early options include Rushoar, Melpaca, Direhowl, and Eikthyrdeer among others. The best method is searching habitats where these Pals spawn and engaging them in battle to lower health before capturing with Pal Spheres.
Once obtained, level up the mountable Pal as you would any other companion. Higher levels will unlock further skills and abilities.

Crafting the Required Pal Gear
To be able to ride a Pal, you must craft special saddles or harnesses at the Pal Gear Workbench. This is unlocked on the Technology tree at Level 6.
The specific Pal Gear required depends on the mount. For example, the Direhowl needs the Direhowl's Saddled Harness.
Level up your Technology to reveal blueprints for more Pal Gear unlocking additional potential mounts. Craft the item for each desired mount.

Mounting and Riding Your Pal in Palworld
Once you have a compatible mount Pal and have crafted its special gear, ride by:
- Summoning the Pal
- Approaching the Pal and holding the key-bind related to mount (mostly F)
- Controlling movement using standard directional inputs
The mount will allow faster overland travel and even has battle skills you can activate. Dismount by holding the "Dismount" button.
