After 5 years of waiting and multiple delays, the Path of Exile 2 early access is finally going to launch on December 6th. Even though Path of Exile 2 will be free-to-play once it officially releases in 2025, if you want to join the early access, you are going to need to find and use a key, and there are only a few ways to obtain one of those. Path of Exile 2: How to Get Early Access

If you want to play Path of Exile 2's early access on December 6th, you are going to need a key. Here are the three different methods for getting a Path of Exile 2 early access key:

Have Over $480 Previously Spent on Path of Exile

If you have spent over $480 in Path of Exile, either through buying the higher tier of supporter packs or by just accumulating that threshold over time, you are going to receive a Path of Exile 2 early access key for free. This key should be sent to you either to your email address, or you can find it as a direct message in your Path of Exile account on their official website. These keys should be sent out over time before December 6th, so if you have still not received yours, there is still time. One more thing to keep in mind is that the threshold is the same for all countries and does not take regional prices into account.

Buy an Early Access Supporter Pack

If you have not spent $480 on Path of Exile through the years, you can still gain access to the early access by purchasing one of the Path of Exile 2 supporter packs. Each of the packs will provide you with a key, with the cheapest option being $30, which will also give you 300 points that can be used in the in-game shop. Buying a supporter pack will instantly give you the key, which you can proceed to use either in Steam or any of the other platforms on which you can play the game.

Hope For a Random Invite

If you are reluctant to spend any money on the game, then the only way to get access to the Path of Exile 2 early access is by getting an invite, either from a friend or through the random invites that will be sent by Grinding Gear Games. During the course of the early access, keys are going to be sent in waves, and if you are lucky enough, you will be able to play the game for free. Keep in mind that the game will be free-to-play once it launches in 2025, so if you have the patience or if you simply want to wait for the finished product, you can do so without missing anything significant.

That is everything you need to know about joining the Path of Exile 2 early access on December 6th. After years of waiting, we are finally going to see the next step in the ARPG genre. Hopefully, the launch is not a disaster, and Grinding Gear Games have managed to account for the large number of players they are going to get once the early access opens up.
