Path of Exile has always been a game that works well with friends, but up until now, it has always required multiple devices to play on. For Path of Exile 2, however, GGG wanted to bring the experience of playing together to the sofa.

Players will be able to play together on a single account or log in with two Path of Exile accounts on the same console.

In addition, Path of Exile 2 will feature complete cross-play and progression. Play with your friends without losing progress!

Path of Exile 2: Key Features

Path of Exile 2 Classes

Twelve Character Classes

Path of Exile 2 includes twelve character classes, with two for each combination of Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence. While each class variant focuses on a distinct playstyle, they are merely a starting point. You can combine skills from multiple classes to create the ultimate character build, just like in the previous game.

Each of the twelve character classes has its own three Ascendancy specializations, resulting in a total of 36 Ascendancy Classes to pick from.

Dual Specialization for Your Passive Skill Tree

Path of Exile's classic Passive Skill Tree has returned, containing 1,500 skills that allow you to tailor your gameplay experience. It now supports dual specialization, which will enable you to allocate certain passive skill points to two alternative sets of skills.

They engage whenever the proper weapon or skill type is used. For example, you can assign some points to both daggers and traps, or ice and lightning, and as you switch between attacks, the relevant skill points will be applied. This allows you to specialize in many areas without incurring opportunity costs.

Uncover All New items

Path of Exile 2 contains 700 different equipment base types, each with its own unique item to find. You can upgrade your arsenal with new weapons like spears, crossbows, and flails, as well as supplemental equipment like focuses, traps, and revamped scepters.

Fair-to-Play. Never Pay-to-Win

Path of Exile 2 is a distinct game from the original Path of Exile. Moving ahead, GGG will continue to offer expansions for both games. They are fully free to play and will never require a "pay to win" system. All purchases will also be split across the two games.

Early Access will be available later this year, so stay tuned and catch up on all the new reveals and news here on GameLeap!
