Like many other games, Pokemon GO is getting ready to celebrate the spooky season. Niantic has a lot prepared for us, such as sweet event bonuses and Morpeko's debut in the game. This special event will last from Tuesday, October 22, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, October 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Let's dig into everything Pokemon GO Halloween 2024 Part 1 has in store for us.

Pokemon Debut
During the Halloween event, Morpeko will have its pokemon debut, and it will be able to change form in battle each time it uses a Charged Attack.

- Aura Wheel (Electric): Morpeko will know the Charged Attack Aura Wheel (Electric) while it is in Full Belly Mode.
- Aura Wheel (Electric) Trainer Battles: 100 power, increases the user’s Attack by one stage
- Aura Wheel (Dark): Morpeko will know the Charged Attack Aura Wheel (Dark) while it is in Hangry Mode.
- Aura Wheel (Dark) Trainer Battles: 100 power, increases the user’s Attack by one stage
Max Battles
One-Star Max Battles
- Gastly - Dynamax Gastly will make its Pokémon GO Dynamax debut in one-star Max Battles. You can also encounter a shiny one.
- Grookey
- Scorbunny
- Sobble
Three-Star Max Battles
- Falinks - You might encounter a shiny one.
Pokémon caught from Max Battle encounters, as well as their Evolutions, can be Dynamaxed during Max Battles.

Halloween Event Bonuses
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Umbreon in raids and Shiny Zorua in the wild.
Wild Encounters
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the Pokemon GO Halloween 2024 event. You might encounter shiny versions of all of them except for Greavard.

Raids During the Halloween Event
During the Halloween event, trainers can join one-star and three-star raids, with a chance for the following Pokémon (and their shiny versions) to appear:

- Hisuian Typhlosion
- Umbreon
- Bombirdier

Field Research Task Encounters
Players can enjoy Halloween-themed Field Research tasks during the event.
The following Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks:
- Sableye (shiny chance)
- Scraggy (shiny chance)
- Golett (shiny chance)
- Sandygast
- Morpeko
- Nymble
- Greavard
- Spiritomb (shiny chance)
Trainers can also complete some Field Research tasks to earn Mega Energy for certain Pokémon.
