Poppy Playtime Chapter 4: Potential Release Date

Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 was an amazing addition to the franchise, arguably the creepiest chapter yet. With a gripping story, fun puzzles, and incredibly scary villains, Chapter 3 delivered everything fans wanted.

However, upon finishing the game, we can't help but wonder when Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 will come out. Fans are already speculating when the sequel will come out. Here's everything we know so far!

Poppy Playtime Chapter 4: Potential Release Date

First, we need to consider the gaps between the releases of the first three chapters. After the release of Poppy Playtime Chapter 1, the second installment only took seven months to come out. However, the waiting period between Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 grew to about two years.

This trend indicates that the production time is increasing, suggesting that we might have to wait even longer for Poppy Playtime Chapter 4. Despite some fans speculating that Chapter 4 will likely be released in 2026 or even 2027, we have reasons to believe otherwise. Note that this is purely a speculative guess and it should be taken with a grain of salt.

Mob Entertainment has been dropping hints about the production of Chapter 4 on their X account and Discord server. One of their posts gained particular attention, revealing that the production time for Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 was 8 months. The release of the game was delayed due to another project they were simultaneously working on.

Something similar happened now too as the CEO of Mob Entertainment mentioned focusing on developing a new game called Death's Toll, which was supposed to be released before Poppy Playtime Chapter 4. Fortunately, Death's Toll was released on February 1, 2024, putting Poppy Playtime back in the spotlight for developers.

Thanks to the company's updates, we know that Chapter 4 is already in production, with progress underway. If the game maintains a similar runtime to its predecessors, around 2.5 hours, then the production time might indeed be around 8 months again. Accounting for potential delays and extended development, we can speculate that Chapter 4 of Poppy Playtime might be released in the beginning to mid-2025.

With the risk of sounding overly positive about the early release date, it is a fact that Mob Entertainment is already working on the new project. Given the conclusion of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, it's likely they'll aim to minimize any delays in the release date.
