Poppy Playtime: Who is The Prototype? Everything We Know about 1006

Everyone is curious about the Prototype—what he looks like and who he really is. The information about him is very scarce, offering only small clues about this character. With his brief appearances in each chapter of Poppy Playtime so far, the producers tease his major role in the upcoming sequences of the game. As fans learn more and more about him, they grow increasingly impatient to uncover more about 1006. Here are all the details we have about him so far.

The Prototype Backstory and Origin

The Prototype, also known as experiment 1006, is actually the first successful experiment to come out of the Bigger Body Initiative. Apparently, he was the ideal vessel that Playtime Co.'s scientists desired.

The Prototype is renowned for his remarkable intelligence. Like the other toys at the factory, he also endured numerous painful experiments. This builds up resentment towards the workers at Playtime Co., and all he wants is to take his revenge on them.

The Prototype: Scientific Logs

The Prototype is said to be constantly changing his personal traits, and he possesses the ability to communicate by mimicking the voices of the employees. His deep hatred and stubbornness are evident in the scientific logs, where his dialogues with the scientists are recorded.

During one session, specifically during Log 24459, The Prototype had a conversation with Harley Sawyer, questioning if any employees felt remorse for the experiments being "sticked, burned, torn at flesh." Harley Sawyer cleverly retorted, challenging The Prototype and pointing out how he continuously uncovers new aspects about him in each session. The Prototype thanked Harley before mocking him once more, remarking how he, too, learns something from Harley every day.

In another session, during Log 08502, the familiar Scientist recounts an incident relating to The Prototype. It is stated that 1006 was primarily kept in his chamber, monitored at all times. However, one day, he created a laser pointer from the digital alarm clock in his room, fired it at the camera and disabled it for 28.3 seconds. Upon which he hid in a blind spot, forcing a surveillance specialist to come in. He tried to escape through the door but was re-locked before he could. He apparently killed the specialist who was trapped inside, as 'one casualty occurred.'

The Prototype's Appearance

1006 hides his body in the dark spaces and vent of the Playtime Co. Factory. The only part of the Prototype that we have seen so far is his slender arm with sharp, needle-like fingers. His arm looks like it is a part of a mechanical skeleton, which can be both fragile and dangerous.

What we know for sure is that the Prototype is currently building himself up by using parts of the bodies of the toys that have died. This argument can be easily supported by Mommy Long Legs' words right before she died at the end of Chapter 2: 'WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?! HE’LL MAKE ME PART OF HIM! YOU CAN’T DO THIS TO ME!'

We have yet to find out which parts of the dead toys he has used so far and whether he managed to find Huggy Wuggy's body(presuming he is dead) and use it as well.
