Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Opinions so Far

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a side-scrolling 2D action-adventure game, part of the Prince of Persia franchise. The series introduces a new main character, Sargon, who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime by traveling to the cursed city of Mount Qaf to rescue the kidnapped Prince Ghassan.

The game has encountered various issues during its development. Initially assigned to the Indian Ubisoft Studio, it later transitioned to Ubisoft Montpellier. Art Director Jean-Christophe Alessandri revealed that the team drew inspiration from "modern culture, urban culture, and fashion," causing some concern among fans. Currently, the trailer for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is not well-received by PoP players, as it appears to stray too far from the original cult-classic game. However, IGN's review welcomes this change and praises the game, although they do highlight a few negative aspects. Only time will tell if Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is an honorable addition to the PoP series or a game we'll pretend never happened.
