RAID Shadow Legends: New Champion - Falmond Mournsword Skills & More

Falmond Mournsword is one of the three Legendary Champions being added to the RAID: Shadow Legends roster with Update 8.40.

He is a Magic Attacker from The Sacred Order faction and their Unity Champion.

Falmond Mournsword is the Unity Champion for The Sacred Order faction and a Champion that can unleash tremendous amounts of damage if paired well with a good team of Sacred Order Champions.

Unlike other Unity Champions, Falmond Mournsword focuses on increasing his damage, making him one powerful nuke champion in PvP.

His A1 is a simple damaging ability that also heals Falmond Mournsword and converts the extra healing into a shield, making it a good survivability tool. Additionally, if the target is from the Corrupted Alliance Faction he will use his A3 instead.

His A2 is a good attack all-enemies skill that deals more damage the more buffs and debuffs the target of the skill has. Additionally, it ignores 25% DEF if the target has no buffs or debuffs.

Falmond Mournsword’s A3 is the skill that makes him a Unity Champion and the nuking part of his kit. 

With 1 Faction ally, this skill steals all buffs from its target and increases the skill’s damage for every buff stolen. 

At 2 Faction allies, this skill’s damage increases the more turns allies and enemies take before Falmond Mournsword uses the skill, meaning you’ll want to build him with anything but SPD to make the most out of this buff. 

Finally, at 3 Faction allies, the skill will transfer any surplus damage if the initial target is killed to all remaining enemies, making it one powerful nuke. In the unlikely chance that the target of the skill survives the whole enemy team will receive a [True Fear] debuff.

Finally, Falmond Mournsword’s passive also has several effects based on how many Faction allies you run him with. 

At 1 ally the passive fills up an ally’s Turn Meter by 2% each time they place a buff or debuff. 

At 2 allies the passive places a [Revive on Death] buff on an ally whenever they drop below a certain HP%. 

Finally, at 3 allies the passive makes it so that all allies are immune to cooldown-increasing effects.

All in all Falmond Mournsword’s kit is quite powerful and a menace to deal with in the Arena. He’s sure to see a lot of play, and those who have gotten lucky with a good selection from The Sacred Order will be happy to have him join their teams.

Mournsword

• Description:
  • Attacks 1 enemy.
  • Heals this Champion by 50% of the damage inflicted.
  • If there is any surplus heal, places a [Shield] buff on this Champion for 2 turns equal to the surplus heal.
  • Will attack using the Burning Courage skill instead if the target is from the Corrupted Alliance.
• Level Effects:
  • Lvl.2 - Damage +5%
  • Lvl.3 - Damage +10%
  • Lvl.4 - Damage +10%

A2

• Description:
  • Attacks all enemies.
  • Damage inflicted by this skill increases by 5% for each buff and debuff on the target.
  • Will ignore 25% DEF of targets that have no buffs.
• Cooldown: 3 Turns
• Level Effects:
  • Lvl.2 - Damage +10%
  • Lvl.3 - Damage +10%
  • Lvl.4 - Damage +10%

A3

Burning Courage

• Description:
  • Attacks 1 enemy.
  • Before attacking, removes all buffs from the target. Damage increases by 20% for each buff removed.
  • Sacred Order Unity:
    • 1 Faction Ally:
      • Before attacking, steals all buffs from the target instead. This effect cannot be resisted. Damage increases by 20% for each buff stolen.
    • 2 Faction Allies:
      • The damage inflicted by this skill increases by 20% for each turn taken by an ally or enemy before this Champion's next tun. Resets at the end of this Champion's turn.
    • 3 Faction Allies:
      • Will attack all remaining enemies with any surplus damage if the initial target is killed. This attack cannot be critical. If the initial target survives, places a guaranteed [True Fear] debuff on all enemies for 1 turn.
• Cooldown: 4 Turns
• Level Effects:
  • Lvl.2 - Damage +20%
  • Lvl.3 - Cooldown -1

Passive

Til My Last Breath

• Decreases the damage taken by this Champion by 10% for each turn taken by an ally or enemy before this Champion's next turn. Resets at the end of this Champion's turn.
• Sacred Order Unity:
  • 1 Faction Ally:
    • Fills an ally's Turn Meter by 2% whenever they place a buff or debuff.
  • 2 Faction Allies:
    • Places a [Revive on Death] buff for 1 turn on an ally whenever their HP drops below 50%.
  • 3 Faction Allies:
    • All allies are immune to cooldown increasing effects.

AURA

ATK Aura

• Increases Ally ATK in all Battles by 35%.
• Increases Ally C.RATE in all Battles by 15% (only applies to the Sacred Order).

Summary

Overall Falmond Mournsword is a nicely made Unity Champion that is going to be a good addition to the Sacred Order faction.

From his kit we can suspect that he will be a monster in PvP, rivaling other great nukers in the current meta.

Although a lot of his damage is tied behind having enough Sacred Order allies on the team, as long as you find a good team for him you’ll likely be able to dominate some Arena matches.
