RAID Shadow Legends: New Champion - The Calamitus Skills & More

The Calamitus is one of the two Mythical Champions to be released as part of the RAID: Shadow Legends Update 8.40.

He is an Attack Champion from the Undead Hordes faction and is set to offer a ton of damage and utility to your teams.

In this article, we’ll look at what The Calamitus has to offer in terms of his skills by giving you a breakdown of his entire kit for both his base and alternate forms.

The Calamitus is the first Mythical champion of the Undead Hordes faction.

In both forms The Calamitus takes on the Attack role, however, his two forms give him completely different uses.

In his Alternate Form, The Calamitus is a Hydra destroyer, while his Base Form has him take on the role of a solid debuffer.

Base Form

As already mentioned The Calamitus’ base form has him take on the role of a damage-dealing debuffer that can also heal himself and gain the [Unkillable] buff, making him one annoying Champion to fight against. 

With the right setup, he will truly become unkillable making him a nightmare to face against in PvP.

The Calamitus’ A1 is a 1 enemy attack that hits twice and heals him a ton while also giving The Calamitus an extra turn if this skill kills an enemy. All in all a basic, yet powerful skill.

His A2 is once again a 1 enemy attack that hits 4 times with each hit ignoring 10% of the enemy’s DEF. Furthermore, each hit also places a different kind of debuff, leaving the enemy hit by this skill inflicted with 4 debuffs in the end. 

His A3 is a powerful nuke skill that is always guaranteed to be a critical hit and gives The Calamitus the [Unkillable] buff if it kills an enemy.

Finally, The Calamitus’ Base Form passive heals The Calamitus for 50% of his MAX HP at the start of every turn, making him a total menace in PvP.

Reaping Cull

• Description:
  • Each hit restores this Champion's destroyed MAX HP, equal to the damage inflicted.
  • Each hit also heals this Champion by 30% of the damage inflicted.
  • Grants and Extra Turn if this attack kills an enemy.
• Level Effects:
  • Lvl.2 - Damage +20%

A2

Horde of Calamity

• Description:
  • Attacks 1 enemy 4 times.
  • Each hit will ignore 10% of the target's DEF.
  • The first hit places a [Block Buffs] debuff for 2 turns.
  • The second hit places a 60% [Decrease DEF] debuff for 2 turns.
  • The third hit places a 25% [Weaken] debuff for 2 turns.
  • The fourth hit places a 30% [Decrease SPD] debuff for 2 turns.
• Cooldown: 3 Turns
• Level Effects:
  • Lvl.2 - Damage +20%
  • Lvl.3 - Ignore resistance +20%

A3

Necroclysm

• Description:
  • Attacks all enemies. This attack is always critical.
  • If this attack kills an enemy, places an [Unkillable] buff on this Champion for 1 turn.
  • If this attack kills 2 or more enemies, places an [Unkillable] buff on this Champion for 2 turns instead.
• Cooldown: 5 Turns
• Level Effects:
  • Lvl.2 - Damage +20%
  • Lvl.3 - Cooldown -1

A4

Metamorph

• Transforms this Champion into their Alternate Form.
• Then grants an Extra Turn.
• Cooldown: 4 Turns.

Passive

Immortal Creation

• Heals this Champion by 50% of their MAX HP at the start of their turn.

AURA

ATK Aura

• Increases Ally ATK in all Battles by 35%.

Alternate Form

Although it can be said that The Calamitus’ base form was slightly more favoring the PvP side of RAID: Shadow Legends, his alternate form is surely aimed at the PvE side of things, and more precisely, dealing with Hydra.

In his alternate form, The Calamitus becomes a powerful Champion in Hydra and Dragon teams.

His A1 is a 1 enemy attack that allows The Calamitus to transfer all of the debuffs from him to the target of the skill after attacking. If the target is under a [Hex] debuff, however, the debuffs from The Calamitus will be transferred before attacking.

His A2 is the bread and butter of his Alternate Form. It’s an all-enemies attack skill the first removes all debuff from this Champion and increases The Calamitus’ damage for each debuff removed. Furthermore, it also ignores 20% of the target’s defense if the target is under a [Hex] debuff, making this one powerful skill.

His A3 is one against a powerful all-enemies attack skill that places a [Hex] and [Decrease DEF] debuffs before attacking. However, the best part about this skill is that it ignored [Life Barrier], [Poison Cloud], and [Ally Protection] buffs, making it the only skill in the game that can do this.

Finally, The Calamitus’ Alternate Form passive heals The Calamitus for 100% of his HP every time he kills an enemy under a [Hex] debuff. Additionally, it also increases The Calamitus’ ATK for every enemy with a [Hex] debuff killed, making this one powerful passive.

Fell Scythe

• Description:
  • Attacks 1 enemy.
  • After attacking, transfers all debuffs from this Champion to the target.
  • If the target is under a [Hex] debuff before the attack, transfers all debuffs from this Champion to the target before attacking instead.
• Level Effects:
  • Lvl.2 - Damage +20%
  • Lvl.3 - Ignore resistance +20%

A2

Final Testament

• Description:
  • Attacks all enemies.
  • Before attacking, removes all debuffs from this Champion.
  • Damage increases by 10% for each debuff on each target. Will ignore 20% of each target's DEF if they are under a [Hex] debuff.
• Cooldown: 4 Turns
• Level Effects:
  • Lvl.2 - Damage +20%
  • Lvl.3 - Cooldown -1

Termination

• Description:
  • Attacks all enemies.
  • Before attacking, places a [Hex] debuff and a 60% [Decrease DEF] debuff for 2 turns.
  • Will ignore [Life Barrier], [Poison Cloud], and [Ally Protection] buffs.
• Cooldown: 4 Turns
• Level Effects:
  • Lvl.2 - Damage +20%

• Transforms this Champion into their Alternate Form.

Passive

Banquet of Death

• Fully heals this Champion every time they kill an enemy under a [Hex] debuff.
• Also increases this Champion's ATK by 10% for each enemy under a [Hex] debuff.

Summary

All in all, The Calamitus is a powerful addition to the RAID: Shadow Legends roster and one that a lot of players will be happy to have on their accounts.

He is not only a menace in PvP, but one of the better Hydra slayers in his Alternate Form. The Calamitus offers a ton to the game and is sure to find his place in the meta after some testing.
