The newest iteration of the RAID Digest dropped yesterday, May 31st, and revealed some new things about the upcoming update.
In this article, we plan to go over the information from the digest and show you some of the new things you can look forward to in the upcoming update 8.6.

New Item
It was announced that RAID: Shadow Legends will be getting a new consumable item, which is the [Free Gear Removal] consumable item.
As everyone who already plays RAID knows, free gear removal is one of the favorite events for players, as can save a ton of silver when removing or swapping around artifacts. With the new update, we will now have access to an item that does the exact same thing, so we won’t have to wait for Free Gear Removal events to do our artifact swapping.
The [Free Gear Removal] item will be a type of reward item that, when used, will work for a total of 1 hour, and you’ll be able to get them from Cursed City Stages as an additional reward to the stages. Do not worry; the original rewards for the stages will remain the same.
Unfortunately, if you have already completed the Cursed City Stages that give out Free Gear Removals before the update, you will not be able to get those items. As such, you might want to hold off on clearing Cursed City after the update drops.
On a good note, every player will receive 3 Free Gear Removal items when the update drops, which means you’ll have a total of 3 hours to do your artifact swapping.

Clan vs. Clan Tournament Changes
A bit of sad news is that Personal rewards will be removed from the next CvC Tournament.
The CvC tournament was a good way for players to get some nice rewards, but now with the addition of this change, players will have to settle for fewer rewards for this tournament.
It is too early to say whether this change is needed or how it will impact the game, but we will keep you informed if any news about this change begins circulating amongst the community.
And that is all for this week’s RAID Digest. It is a bit short indeed, but it sheds light on a new item that most players will probably love to stock up on. Although the removal of personal rewards for the Clan vs. Clan Tournament hurts a bit, it is still too early to say whether this is a bad change or not.
All in all, Update 8.6 is shaping up to be a solid update with good new characters and some decent QoL updates.
